2019 Mitsubishi L200 uses 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine

The 2019 Mitsubishi L200 uses a new family version of a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine

In addition to the world premiere of the EngelbergTourer concept car and AS X model, Mitsubishi's rival auto show booth also hosted the European premiere of the L200 pickup.

The European-spec L200 single-ton pickup truck accepts the same styling update elsewhere in the world. The front end adopts Mitsubishi's "Dynamic Shield" front shape, like other models, including the Eclipse cross.

This truck now features sleek horizontal headlights, a top hat line, and new fog lights. And, the 18-inch alloy contained in the steering wheel arches, bright accents, and refreshed taillights contribute to a more modern appearance of Mitsubishi pickups.

As the photo reflects, the regular auto show car is in the "mountain rescue" configuration, adding a front tow hook and winch, black mirror cap, alloy, bedspread, and LED roof bar.

The cabin has also seen its fair share of updates, such as upholstered material door trim inserts, center armrests, and center console (it also has sewing now), and a multi-surround monitor that provides a vehicle around the surrounding area . The 2019 L200 also received new safety technologies, including forward collision mitigation, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic warning and ultrasonic buffer mitigation.

Even with the hardware, the refreshed Mitsubishi L200 uses a newly developed, Euro 6d-TEMP compatible 2.2-liter turbocharged engine with six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. No specifications are available, but the automaker promises "strong and stable" acceleration and quieter performance.

Finally, Mitsubishi stated that the 4WD system now offers "improved all-terrain performance", offering a new off-road mode, offering gravel, mud/snow, sand and rock settings. The updated L200 will arrive at European dealers in the late summer of 2019.
